Asia Now 2025

Ultra-contemporary issues and images that contrast sharply with the space of the Vazieux gallery (booth H09). Signed by Moonassi, large areas of ink and acrylic on hanji paper reveal mystical scenes, as if lit by candlelight, from which stylized, uniform figures stand out. Trained in traditional Asian painting at Hongik University in Seoul, the Korean artist conjures up a striking and meditative universe, at the crossroads of 17th-century chiaroscuro and contemporary realistic painting.
