Constanze Deutsch
Constanze Deutsch is a German artist born in Dresden in 1980. She received a Painting and Graphics degree from the Dresden University of Fine Arts (Hfbk) in 2009.
Deutsch mainly creates figurative drawings on paper, flooding the sheet with pictorial and typographic contents referencing to popular culture as well as her personal history. It often results in graphic overlays designing a large whole picture composed of several smaller and fragmented parts. Deutsch uses various techniques and has gradually progressed from small intimate to monumental formats, and from fine pencil strokes to intensely colored interventions with brushes and spray cans.
